The money government spends for town improvements is not earned like you and I earn money. The money is taken in the form of taxes. As such, this money needs to be spent responsibly, like roads and needed infrastructures, and not on special interest projects like ballparks.
As your elected official, I will vote for projects that benefit all of Gilbert, stay within the intended purpose of government, and also stay within our budget. This is your hard-earned money and government should be allocating it responsibly.

Part of my decision on running for town council is because the voices of families are not currently represented in local government. Gilbert is full of vibrant, energetic families and our voices need to be heard. Many of us moved to Gilbert because we knew our family values would be shared by most of our neighbors, and by working together despite our differences we can find solutions.
As an elected official I will defend that "small town" family value atmosphere and work to create opportunities to bring our town together. In these tough economic times a strong community is what is needed to overcome the hardships.
It is hard to imagine a government in this great country of ours that would violate this basic right protected by our constitution…
It is hard to imagine a government in this great country of ours that would violate this basic right protected by our constitution but it has been happening right here in Gilbert.
Just recently a property owner was forced to make concessions on a legal use of his property in order to obtain a special user permit for his "agritainment" business. A few years ago county island residents were essentially forced into annexing or face the prospect of losing their fire service. This is no way to treat citizens of this great town and this great country.
As an elected official I can assure you that your personal freedoms and your property rights will always be defended.

The role of government is to protect life, liberty and property. In Gilbert we are fortunate to have excellent leadership in our public safety departments. I share their concerns when they speak about Gilbert becoming a training ground for other municipalities. We have been losing police officers at an alarming rate to other cities and careers because we have some of the lowest paid officers in the valley.
As an elected official I will ensure our tax dollars are spent responsibly and used to protect your right to personal safety.
